Mississauga Ward 1 is in the southeasternmost region of the city, bounded on its northern sides by Dundas Street East and the Queen Elizabeth Way, to the west in part by the Credit river, and to the south by Lake Ontario. Its median household income is $84,000, lower than the citywide rate. While its population of immigrants, at 65 percent, is higher than the citywide average, the population of racialized people is lower, at only 25 percent—its top sources for immigrant residents are Poland, the U.K., and Portugal. Incumbent councillor Stephen Dasko has been in the role since 2018.
